Extension of Deadline for Submission of Expressions of Interest for the Renovation, Expansion, and Operation of Hôtel Source du Nil and Its Surroundings
The Ministry of Commerce, Transport, Industry, and Tourism of the Republic of Burundi announces an extension of the deadline for submitting expressions of interest regarding the renovation, expansion, and running of the Hôtel Source du Nil and its surroundings.
New Submission Deadline: April 18, 2025, at 11:00 AM, Bujumbura time. This extension aims to encourage broader participation and to provide potential bidders with ample time to prepare comprehensive and competitive proposals.
Location: Hôtel Source du Nil is located in the heart of Bujumbura city, the economic capital of Burundi, Quartier Asiatique, Avenue Nicolas Mayugi No. 1, Bujumbura, Burundi.
Hotel source du Nil used to be an emblematic establishment with approximately 200 rooms of various categories, including junior and presidential suites. The hotel also features leisure facilities such as swimming pools, conference rooms, parking, tennis and golf courses.
The project consists of elevating the hotel to a five-star standard and to expand its facilities by constructing a “Duty-Free” shopping center and an international conference centre, etc.
This initiative aims at promoting tourism in Burundi through Public-Private Partnership and it’s part of the National Economic Development strategy.
